TOURISM IN WEST POKOT COUNTY
West Pokot County lies on the floor of the great rift valley. The county takes up an area of 8,418.2 square kilometres. Kapenguria Town is the capital town of the county. The town is famous for having been the area where the famous Six Kenyan Freedom fighters were imprisoned. West Pokot County is bordered by Trans Nzoia and Elgeyo Marakwet counties to the south, Uganda to the west, Turkana County to the north, east and north-east while a small portion of the border in the south-east borders Baringo County.
