TOURISM IN TURKANA COUNTY

Turkana County is located in the rift valley region of Kenya, at the north western part of the country. The county takes up an area of 71,597.8 square kilometres, while Lodwar is the capital town of the county that is mainly inhabited by the Turkana community. The county experiences less rainfall, of between 300mm to 400mm per annum. Turkana County is bordered by Uganda to the west, the Republic of Southern Sudan to the north west and Ethiopia Republic to the north. The eastern border of Turkana County borders Lake Turkana, the south-eastern border borders Samburu County, the southern border borders Baringo County while it is bordered by West Pokot County to its south-west.
