- Agricultural Activities in Tana River County
The county is mainly inhabited by two communities; the Pokomo, the Orma and the Wardey. The Pokomo are largely farmers while the latter two are
mainly involved in cattle keeping.

The county, amongst the five with a coastline has the shortest of the coastline share. Therefore there has not been a lot of investment yet
in hotels, resorts and beaches industry along its short coastline.

The county has vast areas under forests, woodland and grassland.

- Tourist Facilities and Public Grounds (Parks)
Monetary institutions (banks) available in Garsen town and major trading centres. Learning institutions, petrol stations, police stations
and police posts and medical facilities are also available. Curio shops in the county sell artifacts and jewellery.
- Inland Beaches and Fishing
The availability of the Tana River and the Indian Ocean coastline has seen fishing activities in the county. However; most of the fishing in the county
is on small scale for domestic consumption.
Tana River County is accessible by road. Certain parts of the River Tana and the short coastline of the county has seen the development
of water transportation means like the use of water boats (however; mainly for fishing activities).
