Tourism, besides agriculture is the largest foreign exchange earner in Kenya. Therefore, the government has had to adequately and effectively manage the tourism industry by setting aside a special Ministry of Tourism that is in responsible for providing all the necessary information and regulations regarding the country's tourism and the diverse wildlife sector.
The ministry further provides the investors, intending-investors, stakeholders and tourists with all the required information concerning tourism activities and planning in the Kenya, the East African region, in Africa and the global arena. Various travel expos, exhibitions and trade fairs are held in Kenya on annual basis or as planned by the participating nations and organizations. Such events are organized by the Ministry of tourism, the Kenya Tourism Board and tourism stakeholders in the country.
