number of local and regional and international tourists that visit the region annually.
- Agricultural Activities
The favourable climate, availability of Lake Victoria which brings about convectional rainfall has enabled the inhabitants of Migori County engage
productively in agriculture. Cash crops grown in the county include sugar cane, bananas and tobacco. The main subsidiary crops are maize, beans
and peas. There have also been proofs of availability of copper and gold deposits in the county.

The availability of Lake Victoria and the tributary rivers has lead to a lot of fishing activities in the region.
Migori is accessible by road transport. The county is also close to Kisumu city, which has an international airport that has in a great extent
positively affected tourism around the lake region. One could as well travel by train from Nairobi to the terminus at Kisumu, and then travel by
road from Kisumu to Migori.
