KENYA'S TOURISM COMPANIES AND ORGANIZATIONS DOMINATE WTA AWARDS
Kenya's tourism and travel companies dominated the 22nd World Travel Awards (WTA) gala ceremony that was held at the Kempinski Resort in Seychelles in June 2015. Kenyan companies scooped a total of nine awards. The Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) led the pack by retaining the Africa's leading tourism board for the fourth year in a row. In addition, the Maasai Mara National Reserve was voted Africa's leading national park, while the Diani beach scooped Africa's leading beach destination.
Twiga Towers was ranked Africa's leading luxury safari destination. The company was also awarded as the most responsible tourism company in Africa. Carlson Wagonlit topped as Kenya's leading travel management company as well as Kenya's leading tour and travel company. The Naivasha based Spa Resort, Enashipai was awarded as Kenya's leading spa, while Nairobi Serena triumphed as Kenya's leading business hotel. The facility was also voted as the country's leading green hotel.
